Fyi 225/50r16 will be the last common tire size before tires start getting expensive

do yourself a favor and buy a tire with a good compound before resorting to the "wider is better" mentality. In fact it will probably just make you slower

lol, i did end up getting a set of 225/50/16 Yokohamas, used.

Did a bit of lip polishing (using erik's 740 as a polishing lathe), and plasti-dipped the centers.
Turned out decent... good enough for my needs anyway.

What offset are those rims, I didn't think 225's would standout quite that far.

The lumina is a FWD car, so i'd say around the 30 to 40 range

The adapter spacers i have are 25mm front 32mm rear

...the fenders are rather rolled.
