Matt and I out to PnP yesterday to pull the head off a B234 that was there. We decided to take the head, intake manifold (with fuel rail, injectors, throttle body, throttle spool etc), exhaust manifold and the header pipe. When you pull a B234 head you pretty much disassemble the whole head to get at the head bolts but the intake and exhaust manifolds can stay bolted to the lower portion of the head. Once we pulled it out, we re-assembled the head and laid it upside down in the wheelbarrow and headed to the checkout. We were thinking a loaded DOHC head, loaded intake manifold and exhaust manifold was going to set us back somewhere north of $125. When we got to the checkout there was some young guy there who was complaining because he lost his cashier. It was obvious he really didn't know too much about what he was doing. I simply told him we had a head, intake manifold and exhaust manifold and the down pipe. He only asked one question and that was how many cylinders. Total? $58...

START THE CAR!!!

Turns out he forgot to charge us for the head and only charged us for a bare intake manifold. Some days you're the wind shield, some days you're the bug... =D>

I thought my pyp score was awesome...an uncracked pre 90 dash and a black 1993 tailgate with black hinges and flush trim.

This one beats mine. Though "seat foam" and a "door" is a lot cheaper than ECUs and turbos.

They all like to nickel and dime you. That's how they make their money. Guess they need to when things like this happen... :?

Certainly wasn't me that came up with that saying. Mark Knopfler is where I got it from...

Code:
The Bug
(Mark Knopfler)

Well it's a strange old game you learn it slow
One step forward and it's back you go
You're standing on the throttle
You're standing on the brake
In the groove 'til you make a mistake

Sometimes you're the windshield
Sometimes you're the bug
Sometimes it all comes together baby
Sometimes you're just a fool in love
Sometimes you're the Louisville Slugger
Sometimes you're the ball
Sometimes it all comes together
Sometimes you're gonna lose it all

You gotta know happy - you gotta know glad
Because you're gonna know lonely
And you're gonna know sad
When you're rippin' and you're ridin'
And you're coming on strong
You start slippin' and slidin'
And it all goes wrong because

Sometimes you're the windshield
Sometimes you're the bug
Sometimes it all comes together baby
Sometimes you're just a fool in love
Sometimes you're the Louisville Slugger
Sometimes you're the ball
Sometimes it all comes together
Sometimes you're gonna lose it all

One day you got the glory and then you got none
One day you're a diamond and then you're a stone
Everything can change in the blink of an eye
So let the good times roll before we say goodbye because

Sometimes you're the windshield
Sometimes you're the bug
Sometimes it all comes together baby
Sometimes you're just a fool in love
Sometimes you're the Louisville Slugger
Sometimes you're the ball
Sometimes it all comes together
Sometimes you're gonna lose it all

Sometimes you're the windshield
Sometimes you're the bug
Sometimes it all comes together baby
Sometimes you're just a fool in love

Sometimes you're the windshield
Sometimes you're the bug
Sometimes it all comes together baby
Sometimes you're just a fool in love
