Had all the 850 parts I got from Matt sitting in my garage with no home to go too, and my idea of repurposing the suspension into my Peugeot wasn't going to pan out...

So I thought to myself - "hey - I wonder if there's a cheap 850 around"...

Picked up a beater 93' 850 sedan couple weeks back with eleventy million km on it (unknown - but odo died at 417K). Came with broken headlings, shot suspension and motor mounts. Runs decent, with new fuel pump, filter and relay. but I forgot to ask if they were smokers. Turns out they were HEAVY smokers with a big ass dog - so spent the most of my time cleaning the nicotine and dog hair out and trying to get rid of the smell.

Newer 850 in the local wrecker so grabbed updated turns, and the panel under the lights smaller newer 850 headlights, front calipers and rotors, and floor mats so far. Going back again Saturday for a few more things.

I needed an interim DD while I fixed my Peugeot up, so it's worked out OK. Just needs to last a couple months and I hope to sell it off or just park it if it still runs as a spare car should I need one quick.

Sorry Jim, didn't get a notification of your reply.

A buddy at work was bugging me bad to sell the 98' so I threw out $5k firm so he'd leave me alone, and I could just keep it for myself...

He looked all across Canada and the US but didn't find anything similar and he agreed to my price after a few weeks to my surprise. (Should have said $6K!)

It was a good price, but still regret selling it... Awesome car that was in fantastic shape...

 Wow, nice flip!!! Yeah, the manual T5's are very rare, bit surprised he went that high but I guess that sets the benchmark if people want them bad enough.

Wasn't really a flip per se, I installed ~$1k in parts alone, changed all fluids (Redline synthetic tranny fluid), all new brake rotors, pads, park brake, and a complete FCP tune up kit... I also mounted studded winters to the 15" wheels that it had on it.

I did get my money back and a decent hourly wage for the work, so it was a good sell, but didn't really make anything extra.

Plus side, is if we pick up the 06 R this weekend, I get our current R as my DD while I work on my Peugeot projects.
